Materials Used

Timber frames can be constructed from a choice of hard woods including:

• European Oak

• Ash

•  Beech

• Cherry

• Maple

• Sapele

• Wenge

• American Black Walnut

The panels available in a range of patterns and colours are:

• Traditional Japanese Shoji paper

• A laminated Japanese shoji paper

• Warlon – (2mm – 5mm thick)

Individual clients may occasionally wish to use materials that are not on the list and we will make every effort to source these materials.

Shoji Tracking System

All of the tracking systems are made in the traditional Japanese way. We do not normally use metal tracks or wheels, however certain applications may require their use.

Finishes

Available in a natural finish, clear wax or stained.

Sizes

As each project is an individual design they are custom made to specific requirements. Careful measurements are taken on site to ensure an accurate fit.
